Terms of
service.
The agreement between you and Margin Works for the browser extensions and this website. Last updated 24 October 2026.
Who you are dealing with
Margin Works is an independent software studio. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Margin Works; “you” means the person using the website or the extensions. You can reach us at contact details are being finalised.
Free and paid use
Every extension has a free tier that you may use for as long as you like, at no cost. Pro features are sold as a subscription, monthly or yearly, and are unlocked by a licence key. A licence is for one person across the devices that person uses. You may not resell, sublicense, publish or share a key, or use one key to unlock tools for other people.
Payments and Paddle
Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as merchant of record for these sales. That means your contract for the payment itself is with Paddle: they take the card, calculate and remit sales tax and VAT, issue the invoice and handle payment disputes. Prices are shown in US dollars; the amount Paddle charges, including tax, is displayed at checkout before you confirm. Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval you chose until cancelled.
Delivery
The licence key is delivered by email to the address you use at checkout, normally within a minute of payment. If it does not arrive, check the spam folder and then write to us: we can resend it or look up the order.
Cancelling
You can stop a subscription at any time from the link in your Paddle receipt, or by asking us to cancel it. Cancelling stops future renewals; the current period runs to its end and then the extension returns to its free tier. Your local data is not deleted.
Refunds
We offer a thirty-day money-back guarantee on every purchase. The details, including how to ask and what happens to the licence afterwards, are in the refund policy.
Open-source components
Aegis is built on a filter engine published under GPL-3.0-or-later, and WebVault includes components under AGPL-3.0-or-later and MIT. The licence texts and the corresponding source for those components are included with the extension packages, and attribution is recorded on the third-party notices page. Nothing in these terms restricts the rights those licences give you over that code.
What the tools do not promise
These are browser tools, not a security product. Aegis reduces advertising and tracking but cannot block everything, and no blocker should be treated as protection against malware. WebVault saves the page as it loaded for you; it cannot capture pages behind a login you do not have, and some sites render content that does not survive a save. TextLens recognition is good, not perfect, and should be checked before you rely on it for anything important.
Your responsibilities
Use the extensions in line with the law and with the terms of the sites you visit. Do not use them to break access controls, to redistribute content you have no right to, or to interfere with services you do not own. You are responsible for the files you save and export and for keeping your own backups.
Changes and availability
We improve the extensions and this website over time, and features may change. If a change removes a paid feature you are currently paying for, you may cancel and ask for a refund of the unused part. We aim to keep everything working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website or of any third-party service a tool depends on.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost data or lost profit. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
Ending this agreement
You may stop using the extensions at any time. We may end this agreement if a licence is shared or resold, or if the tools are used to harm other people or services; in that case we will refund the unused part of a prepaid period.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Morocco, and disputes belong to the courts there. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.
Contact
Questions about these terms, an order, or a refund: contact details are being finalised. A person reads that inbox, usually within one working day.
